What has made a difference is to edit the Artemis Dehalo json file, artemis-mqs-1.json. Maybe I made an error in the json files? I’m running VEAI v2.3 thus I don’t have Proteus v3. In all others tests I’ve done, I see no difference between Proteus v1 and 2. I also tried Proteus v1 with the same values, and there’s no visible change. However, with those values the MP4 video looks weird: blurry and sharp. These values I found experimentally with the preview: It results in no visible change in the output. Interesting method, and Proteus v2 found values: 33 30 26 1 16 -1, but those do not work on this movie. You might also need to reduce the sharpening as that brightens edges or darkens edges to increase contrast. Adjust your Deblur up and your Dehalo down small amounts until your satisfied. Generally I look for teeth, eyes and jewelry. Once you have your credits go back and find a scene with high contrast items. If good make note of the starting frame of the credits and process only the credits. Now go to the credits and see how they look. That should give you the every settings very close, especially the Compression. Click on Auto-Detect lightning bolt and save that as a preset. A little trick I use for a starting point with the settings is find a place in the video that is all black if possible.
